Join ONV and dozens of other allied groups as we hold a STATEWIDE DAY OF PROTEST against SB 79 and the YIMBY agenda. We’re sending a clear message, backed by millions of Californians: Sacramento cannot dictate the future of our communities.
Bring signs, water, sunscreen, pets, and family. There will be music, featured speakers, and community. We’ll be protesting and amplifying our message, and we’ll also be having fun.
What is SB 79? Why Should This State Law be STOPPED?
California’s Senate Bill 79 (SB 79), threatens local authority and fuel displacement of affordable housing. It forces dense mid-rise housing near transit—even in neighborhoods lacking real transit service—and bypasses CEQA for agency-owned land. Without dedicated funding, higher-density housing may not materialize, and Californian’s priced out.
