Our Neighborhood Voices Board Member Susan Turney, MBA, is an Encinitas resident and longtime advocate for local control. A key contributor to the successful 2013 passage of Encinitas’ local control Proposition A Right to Vote Initiative, Susan is knowledgeable about affordable housing issues and the fallacy of “one size fits all” zoning pushed by Sacramento. She views ONV as the most effective and only way to put zoning and development control in the hands of individual cities and their citizens.

Susan brings a unique blend of expertise to ONV. A business development professional, her experience ranges from small business ownership to corporate positions with Hewlett-Packard and Illumina, Inc. She has worked in a variety of roles including financial analysis, sales enablement, and change management.
